The definition of a Food Desert is An urban area in which it's difficult to buy affordable or good quality food.
The USDA defines Low Access areas as at least 500 people or at least 33% of the population lives more than 1 mile from a supermarket of large grocery store (10 miles in rural cases)

By accepting this challenge you are committing to Running, Jogging, or Walking 1 mile a day, week, or month in honor of the 1 mile+ individuals in food desert communities have to travel in order to access a super market or large grocery store.
Donate any amount, at anytime to accept the challenge.
After Donation you will receive information on how to connect with the entire #GroceryRun Crew via the Nike Run Club App.
