Jesse Marmolejo He/Him/His

Jesse is a native Houstonian. He was first introduced to Ivy Leaf Farms through their feature in the Houston Chronicle. His passion for social justice led him to volunteer at a Green Houwse plant pop-up and he hasn’t stopped coming back since. Jesse currently works with a local charter school, and is studying Latino Studies, Race Studies and Spanish at the University of Houston – Downtown. Jesse brings a heart for for people, social justice and project management. We are excited that he has decided to join the team!

From Jesse: “At the age of five, my mom started sending me to work with my Welito(Grandpa). I did not like working outside in this Houston weather, but I learned so much about landscaping and so much more. I always said I would eventually do my own gardening and small patio projects when I got older. Getting to do that and incorporating my passion for social justice feels full circle. I am so grateful for Ivy Leaf Farms and the Walls Family!”

While an introvert by nature, Jesse loves bringing people together. Contact him with ideas on how you can partner with Ivy Leaf Farms.
